Disadvantages

• The estimated ‘house edge’ of this strategy is just under 4.0%
  • There are many other betting strategies with a lower casino advantage
• Net win of $4 on the 5, 6 and 8 (Place Bet wins $14, Field Bet loses $10)
  • The 5, 6 and 8 make up 14 of the 30 possible positive outcomes for the player
• On average, you need 5 to 6 rolls before a 7 to make up your investment.
  • Average collect on each positive roll is $7.87 requiring 5.59 rolls to break even.
• Does not work on ‘cold’ or ‘choppy’ tables

The Iron Cross (Anything But 7) Strategy can offer advantages depending on the trends at the table and there are a number of variations to this strategy as well.
