The fans of live-action poker are in for a treat as the ARIA High Roller Tournaments are back at the ARIA casino in Las Vegas. Once a common occurring, this will be the first High Roller Tournament in ARIA since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2019, ARIA hosted over 30 editions of the High Roller Tournament, and the latest ones were organised in February 2020, just before the lockdowns began to happen.

The tournament will be played from 305 December, and the daily event will take place at 2 p.m local time. The High Roller Tournament will feature three $10,000 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em events, once for each day. Keeping up with the tradition, advance registrants will only have to pay $200 rake, while late buy-ins and re-entries will have to shell out $500.
While each level has a 40-minute timer, late entries are only allowed till level 6. A 30-second shot clock will be in place, and players can take advantage of six 30-second time extensions. Moreover, if a player is one of the top six contenders, they will receive six additional time extensions to find out the winner.
ARIA December High Roller Schedule
Since the COVID-19 pandemic is still strong with plenty of cases in The United States, the tournament rules stipulate that all staff, players, and organisers will have to wear masks at all times during the tournament. ARIA casino reopened its gates for poker on July 1 this year and restarted daily tournaments on September 18. This will be the first High Roller Tournament since February 2020.
The news of the tournament comes just after the announcement of Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino hosting a live component of the 2020 World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 Main Event. Therefore, poker players in Vegas are surely going to have a busy December, with both offline and online poker tournaments coming in full swing.
